Matt Grobler

Matt joins Quilam from HSBC Innovation Banking, where, having completed rotations across credit risk management, leveraged finance and warehouse lending, he joined the Warehouse Finance team permanently as an Associate. In that role, he gained hands-on experience structuring and monitoring asset-backed lending facilities for businesses across the fintech sector.

Prior to moving into financial services, Matt worked as a civil engineer for a global dewatering firm based in London and was involved in a number of HS2 projects across the country. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BSc in Civil Engineering, where he competed in the Varsity Cup, finishing runners-up in 2021. He has since relocated from South Africa to build his career in the UK.

Outside of work, Matt is a keen rugby fan and Springbok supporter. He is also a keen golfer and enjoys socialising with friends over the weekend.
