ThinCats is one of the largest alternative finance providers to SMEs in the UK, originating close to £1bn of loans across 350+ UK borrowers in the last 5 years. ThinCats serves mid-sized SMEs, alongside their advisors, across the UK with a pragmatic credit process, supported by proprietary  modelling and the best of third-party technology.

The business has focused on bringing in the right people, across origination, underwriting and collections to support this strategy and now have in place a best in class executive team lead by Amany Attia and Ravi Anand and a strong secondary management team, with good experience in the leverage / cash flow lending market.

The business has built strong relationships with institutional funding partners, including the likes of Barclays, Citi, and Insight, securing over £1bn of commitments to date to support direct lending.

Quilam have partnered with Wafra Capital Partners (‘WCP’)  to provide a strategic investment in the company. The investment, alongside senior bank and institutional funding, enables Thincats to lend a further £2 billion over the life of the investment.
